I graduated from the University of London in 1977 with a B.Sc. (Hons) and a Teaching Certificate. Until 1994 I was involved in teaching in Comprehensive schools both in Surrey and Kent. The range of my teaching has been up to 'A' level standard, with the majority of my 'A' level students progressing to higher education.

In 1994, I took early retirement and subsequently decided to re-enter teaching by privately tutoring students to both GCSE and 'A' level standards mainly in Biology, although I will now also tutor Chemistry. The range of my expertise is such that I can accomodate to any of the major Examination board syllabi for Biology offered in England.

In the year 2000 I started an M.Sc.course in Science at the OU Distance Learning. In December 2002 I gained my M.Sc after much heartache and soul-searching. Nevertheless I now feel contented that I have achieved that distinction in my life. The courses that I followed were S803 (Imaging and Molecules in Medicine); S805 (Issues in Brain and Behavour) and S810 (The Project Module). My project for last year was based around the Biochemistry of the Dopamine Receptors.

Currently I tutor within a 20 mile radius of the Medway Towns in North Kent - this includes Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Gravesend and even as far as Dartford, Bromley, and the Isle of Sheppey.
